How to use (समय और विधि)

When: At night before sleep, or 1–2 hours before your bath, 2–3 times a week.

How: Part the hair and apply a little oil to the scalp. Massage gently with your fingertips for a few minutes. For external use only.

Shiro-abhyanga (oiling the head) is one of the daily routines Charaka praises most. Hair Care Oil is a sesame-oil base enriched with extractive oils of Amla, Jatamansi, Almond, Tulsi, Petha seed and Devdaru, with Rosemary and Tea Tree oils.
Shiro-abhyanga: the classical promise
Shastrokta view: Charaka describes daily oiling of the head as a defence against headache, hair fall, baldness and early greying.
नित्यं स्नेहार्द्रशिरसः शिरःशूलं न जायते।
न खालित्यं न पालित्यं न केशाः प्रपतन्ति च॥
— Charaka Samhita, Sutra Sthana 5
Meaning: One who oils the head daily does not suffer headache, baldness or premature greying, and the hair does not fall.

Shastrokta view: Ayurveda considers sesame oil the best of all oils (taila-shreshtha). It is warming, penetrating and vata-pacifying, which makes it ideal for the scalp.

Shastrokta view: Amla is the classical keshya rasayana, and Jatamansi gives lustre and calms the mind. Both are used for hair in classical texts.

Meaning: Jatamansi is medhya (calming to the mind), gives lustre and strength, and balances all three doshas.
